So, how do you get an Oregon-based company to choose Roanoke as its new home? Get Social With It! Join us on June 9 and learn what it takes as Michael Galliher shares his experience and success of the Deschutes 2 Roanoke campaign. Michael Galliher created the Deschutes 2 Roanoke social media campaign to help successfully lure the Oregon-based brewing company to Roanoke for its East Coast operation. What started as an online rallying cry to attract a high-profile business to Roanoke became a powerful campaign with more than 6,200 Facebook likes alone. Michael will outline the campaign (starting with an op-ed he wrote bemoaning the lack of economic opportunities in the Roanoke Valley), the impact of social media and how to get noticed in the ever-crowded space of social media.

Michael Galliher is the creator and manager of the Deschutes 2 Roanoke social media campaign. He is a graduate of Radford University with a degree in Communication, works for Roanoke County Circuit Court and is proud to call this region his home. Michael is active in a variety of community organizations and serves as the fundraising chair for Rotary New Generation for Roanoke.
