What do these have in common: a PGA Tour; boxing matches with legends like Evander Holyfield; a new casino; record-breaking real estate sales despite a challenging economy; music concerts with icons like Reba McEntire; and a prestigious "Five Diamond" award from AAA? They are just a few of the things happening at The Greenbrier.
Whose job is it to make sure everyone knows about these exciting events? Lynn Swann!
Join us at noon on June 14 at Hotel Roanoke to hear from Swann, who is the director of public relations for The Greenbrier. She will share her experiences in the public relations office of this national historic landmark. Swann has worked with media from around the world including "ABC News," the NBC-TV "Today Show" program, The New York Times, USA Today, BBC, and NHK Japan Broadcasting ... to name a few!
The West Virginia Chapter of PRSA named Swann the Practitioner of the Year for 2010 and 2007, and she received one of only four platinum awards for public relations at the HSMAI Adrian Awards. In addition to her role at The Greenbrier, Swann is currently serving her second term on the White Sulphur Springs City Council and is vice president of White Sulphur Springs Main Street. She also represents the city on the Greenbrier County Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Directors and was recently named to the board of directors of the Education Alliance.
PRSA Blue Ridge is collaborating with AAF-Roanoke for the June luncheon to provide professional development and networking for area marketing and PR professionals.
