Register to attend the October 13th luncheon and submit your questions in advance to speak to Jim Hanchett - a member of the media with more than 30 years of experience!

Jim has more than 30 years of experience as a journalist working at newspapers, radio, and television stations across the country. He was a correspondent for NBC News airing reports on several hundred NBC stations as well as CNBC, MSNBC, the Today Show and television networks in Canada, Australia and Europe. He covered stories ranging from the O.J. Simpson trial to Mother Teresa’s funeral in Calcutta, India. He was in Oklahoma City for the Federal Building bombing and at the Pentagon hours after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. His reports have earned a variety of awards including an Emmy.

Currently Jim is the news director and an anchor for Newsplex in Charlottesville. He joins Tiffani Sargent on the anchor desk for CBS19 News at 5.
